Follow the Waters
‘Follow the waters’ is a design produced by Kamilaroi/Gamilaraay artist Dennis Golding and references the river of Barramatta (Parramatta River). The river begins where it meets the ocean in Sydney Harbour, and leads into other water catchments and river veins. The artist has used cultural motifs such as the circular patterns that reference meeting places and waterholes. The symbolism of land and people are connected to the waterways as a way of acknowledging the traditional custodians of Country.
Painted by Jo Breneger and Leia Sidery.
Installed at the Dept. of Justice, Parramatta.
